Cheesecake on a Porch Swing
Finally I got a porch swing, well, a small one, and you can´t even sit on it but it´s cute and that´s what counts. I ordered a kids swing from the internet, painted the seat turquoise and replaced the plastic cord with a beautiful (but not so safe) hemp rope. Since I can not swing with it anyway, I added some roses and a cheesecake. But the cheesecake won´t last long on it, I promise.
Vintage Tassles and Doily Bunting on our Porch
Finally, the weather is like spring, so the front porch can also be decorated 'accordingly'. For the next couple of months I decided to use a curtain of tassles on our front porch that I have torn from all sorts of fabric. Took quiet some time but it was worth it. For the vintage look, I dyed them in black tea. I did the same with the doily bunting.

My desk this Morning
Yes, I know, I haven´t posted anything in a week or so. Reason for that is: I am working on various 'soon need to be finished' ideas that are circling around my mind: I need to get them done and off my table. Speaking of my table, here's what it looks like today. Maybe with that you can a little relate to, what´s going on in my head.

English Afternoon Tea Table Decoration
At some point I had to replace the "Easter" decoration with something new. So here it is. All themed around traditional English "Afternoon Tea" with lot´s of vintage china, roses and lace. I just love all of the romantic details. The colour palette is with soft pastels and all of the sweet little details leave me once again planning another fabulous tea party soon. The only thing missing are the cakes so I better start baking.

Crochet Flower Wreath
After so many nice reaction on the Crochet Flower Garland with over 2500 pic views on Flickr, I felt encouraged by you and by the upcoming warm spring weather (really now, I promise) to continue the "series". So here´s the latest, my "Sweet Spring Crochet Flower Wreath" I am very proud of. If you look closely enough you even see some cute little animals living there. I count the happy mushroom that my hubby's sister brought to life as an animal.

Vintage Cake Pops Ice Cream Parlour
A friend is having a larger family get together today and asked me for ideas on how to offer little sweet things 'buffet style'. The main focus was: kids should love it. I started by educated guessing that kids like ice cream and colours. Since I am always fascinated by cute things that are a little vintage looking, I came up with this Vintage Cake Pops Ice Cream Parlour.
As you know, for me, the idea is not enough. When it´s in my head, I have to build it. With the help of a friend who is good in DIY things the booth was set up. I painted it with some light spring colours and filled it up with cake pops sweets that I tried to look like ice cream. Unfortunately the weather still does not want us to enjoy real ice cream. I am especially proud of my 'accident cone' that looks like someone has dropped it.

Easter Bunny Cookies
As a birthday present I got Bunny shaped Cookie cutters and I wanted to create something special with them. My only problem: Today being the last day of the Easter. So I had to hurry, bake the cookies and apply the fondant decoration. Time pressure and my impatience when it comes to making tiny things is usually not a good combination. But today, maybe because of the sun, it worked extraordinarily well. As a reward, because Easter is almost over, I can eat them all. Yummy.

Happy Easter & Bunny Side Up
Start your Easter Sunday with a smile, even if it is gonna snow again (as it is around our home right now).
I will show you some images of my latest Easter decoration, hope you are gonna like it!
Last friday was Good Friday in germany and so we did what all Germans are doing, when living in our area: driving to Holland, because there ain't no holiday and shops are open there! First stop was the always trusted flower shop in Roermond and she delivered the most amazing flower wreath ever. I mean: look at those colours!!! Didn't she do a great job? The wreath is now prettying up our front door, I feel a little sorry for it, because of the bad weather....but it is gonna change someday soon.
And I found this great cake plate from Rice, I decorated only with Easter stuff, not with cake. But it is so pretty, that I wanted to show it to you anyway. Next time it will come with a cake on top. Promised.
The Albert Heijn supermarket could deliver the M&M's in spring colours. So it was clear, that i had to try out some nice cookies with them. They are yummie, yummie soft and crunchy with the Peanut inside and I have now so many cookies that i don't know when I shall eat them all up. If you come by, you will get a cookie to eat right away!
Of course: what would be Easter without Verpoorten? Hm? This is a long tradition in our home and every year is tastes better, it seams. Although it is always the same recipe?! I doubled the recipe, because in the afternnon I am gonna visit my friend Anna and we are gonna try out to bake some cake with the homemade Verpoorten. I expect good results! maybe drunken results, hehe!
I didn't find nice twigs anywhere, but had some ornaments which I wanted to hang up somewhere. That's why I used some wired hangers and decorated them.
Love the story of the "haeschenschule" with the very tall teacher and the small student. I guess the story is only well known in Germany. But it is popular here, especially again around Easter time!

Best B'day Ever
Long planned and well prepared was today my birthday party. I have seen this funny pop-up cake stall on the internet and was eager to build one of my own. Wood and colours I got from the DIY store in the Netherlands and I am proud to be able to show it today. Fully loaded with cakes and stuff.
I finished the cakes yesterday and the guests had to decide between caramel brownies, cherry-raspberry-coconut slices or leopard print cake or peanut butter or banofee pie or rhubarb streusel or three chocolate cake. Hmmm, I for myself love the cherry vanilla custard tart. Yummy sunday to you, too and thanks all of the friends for today's visit. As I said: Best B'day ever.

Happy Pancake Birthday (to me)
Well, well, I am turning 46 today, and it seems like that it is gonna be the first birthday where I have to release my car from snow. but, I am always so so so happy on my birthday and the breakfast I had was worth while to take a picture to show it to you. The hubby made fresh pancakes for me and he presented them as a tower on the plate with the maple syrup dropping down...yummy! yes, the hubby knows what brings me in the good mood and I started my birthday with a stomach full of pancakes!

Deck the halls with spring colours
I could hardly believe my eyes when I was looking outside my window this morning - it was snowing again and everything was covered already in white! Come on! It is the 17th of march today and everybody is waiting for warm weather, sun and the daffodils to start growing in the garden. Nobody wants snow any longer.
That is why I started working on the spring deco inside the house, trying to just ignore what the weather is doing outside. I brought the ladder in, hung up some birdcages and wooden letters, put mom und child hedgehog in place and feel suddenly not so winterly any more. Lot´s of spring inside!

Crochet Flower Garland
Well, I really have had to hurry with this garland! Since the weather forecast says that the winter is coming back later today with lot of snow and minus temperatures again - I wanted to keep the spring feeling and hang my new garland in the window.
It was raining the whole day yesterday so I had enough time to put all the flowers together and decorate everything...I am gonna try to ignore the snow and think forward of all the warm days that will come very soon! have a nice sunday to all of you! I will do that too, maybe with some cake in the left hand and a nice hot cuppa tea in the other.

New Bunting & Vintage Table Runner
Oh my gosh, it seems like forever, since I posted some pictures on my lovely website. The reason for that was not, that I am the laziest person in the world, no, I was really down with the flu, but it seems like everybody has that at the moment. But Friday was the first day, when I felt a little better and I immediately turned into crafty-Andrea.
I can show you my new bunting, made out of different sized doilies and my new tablerunner, made out of left over fabrics and lace. I dyed everything with black tea before I got started, to get a more vintage outcome and the different patterns and colours would be closer together and match nicely.
To turn the Saturday into the best day since weeks, the sun was shining and I could enjoy the first latte with marble cake sitting outside in the sun! love that!
